Best of Jackson : Voting for the Best of Jackson, Michigan

That is what our annual “Best of Jackson” readers’ choice awards are all about, getting the word out about the best this community has to offer. This marks the second year that we have offered an expanded number of categories in an effort to be more inclusive and represent a larger cross section of the county. Categories range from “Best Children’s Menu” to “Best Place to Watch Televised Sports.” New this year are “Best New Car Dealer,” “Best New Gift Shop,” “Best Neighborhood Hardware,” and “Best Sub/Sandwich.”

Voting is now closed, category winners will be featured in the February 2008 edition of Jackson Magazine.

Official Rules

Nominees on the ballot are based on last year's top vote getters. In some instances, a prominent new business which opened during the past year may have been added to the list. In the case of new categories, the nominee list was based on a compilation of directories. In every category, a write-in ballot position has been included.
Ballots can be either completed online or sent to: Best of Jackson, Jackson Magazine, PO Box 1467, Jackson, MI 49204. Limit one ballot per envelope. Only ballots completed online are eligible for the prize drawing.
All ballots must be completed online or postmarked by Thursday, December 13, 2007. No faxes, e-mails or phone calls will be accepted.
Photocopies of the original ballot will be accepted, but please note that mass-produced copies of answers will be considered ballot stuffing and, if verified, the business will be disqualified.
At least 15 categories must be filled in to qualify for the prize drawing.
If authenticity of a ballot cannot be verified, it will be thrown out.
The prize drawing will consist of all eligible ballots. Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail.
