Livestock exhibits, still exhibits, food concessions, merchant buildings, amusement rides, and national entertainment in the grandstand. Country star Josh Turner will be performing on the grandstand stage on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 8:00 P.M. Josh Turner is Grand Ole Opry's newest inductee; he was a a 2007 CMA nominee in three categories: Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Event of the Year. Jackson County Fair is proud to annouce newcomer Jake owen as the opening act for the Josh Turner concert. Jake is currently charting at #29 with his country hit "Somethin' About A Woman" from his new album "Startin With Me"; Jake wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on this album. Michigan's own Classic Rock & Roll Superstar Ted Nugent is coming to the Jackson County Fair on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 at 8:00pm, Nugent who is known for his exceptional talent on the Gibson Byrdland Guiar has a long list of hits spaning over the last 30 years including Cat Scratch Fever, Wango Tango, Stranglehold and many many more. Ted also penned his own autobiography titled "God, Guns & Rock n'Roll" in 2001. Ted Nugent has many accomplishments both on stage and off. Tickets go on sale May 15th at 10:00am Teen idol and acclaimed actor and vocalist Vanessa Hudgens is coming to the Jackson County Fair on Friday August 8th, 2008 at 8:00pm Hudgens who is known for her workon High School Musical 1 and 2 along with her reoccurring role on the Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zach & Cody". Last year Vanessa released her debut album and toured with the Cheetah Girls. Tickets go on sal on May 8th at 10:00am.
