County National Bank Announces Branch Leadership Promotions


HILLSDALE, MI, May 25, 2021 – John R. Waldron, President and CEO of County National Bank (“CNB”), is pleased to announce the recent promotions of several members of the CNB team.

Wendy S. Pizaña has been promoted to Branch Officer for the new Tecumseh location of CNB, slated to open in the summer of 2021. Wendy joined the CNB team in September of 2020 as a Customer Service Representative for the Adrian branch. She has a diverse background in banking, with 25 years of service in management and supervisory roles. Wendy has a passion for helping others by building valuable and long-lasting relationships with customers and co-workers. 

Wendy has actively volunteered with several organizations throughout her time in the community, including the Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce, Tecumseh Kiwanis, Relay for Life, Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene, the Communities in Schools program, Tecumseh Public Schools, Britton-Deerfield Schools, and Community Arts of Tecumseh.

 

Barb Rupley has been promoted to Branch Officer for CNB’s Adrian branch. Barb has 25 years of financial industry experience in management, lending, training, and marketing, and joined CNB in 2016 and became the Adrian Branch Manager in 2017. Barb has successfully managed the Adrian office, growing deposits and exceeding goals for mortgage and consumer loans. She is committed to providing an exmplary experiene for clients, and has been an integral support in the recent Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan process and in establishing several new accounts and setting up online banking for clients.

Barb holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in organizational management. Barb is actively involved with several community organizations, including Leadership Lenawee, the Carerusnet business networking group, the Croswell, and the Lenawee County Fair. She also volunteers her time to educate local students through personal finance education, Junior Achievement classroom lessons, and Payback for Education.

 

Tessa S. Simmons has been promoted to Branch Manager for CNB’s Wisner Street branch in Jackson. Tessa has five years of banking experience and joined CNB in 2018 as a Customer Service Representative. She has been an asset to the CNB team and is known for providing stellar service to clients. Tessa is currently enrolled in the Jackson Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Jackson program, has attended the Disney Institute’s Approach to Customer Service training, is Jackson Certified, and was a Jackson Magazine Class of 30 and Under honoree in 2019.

Tessa holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a management concentration from Siena Heights University and will be pursuing a master’s degree this fall. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Ambassador Committee for the Jackson Chamber of Commerce and will ascend to Chair in January 2022.

 

Kathryn Walker has been promoted to Branch Officer for CNB’s Jackson Street branch in downtown Jackson. Kathryn has 23 years of banking experience. She joined CNB in 2014, and was promoted to Branch Manager for the Jackson Street location in 2019. Kathryn is goal-oriented and motivated to achieve performance metrics, and is focused on growing the downtown Jackson market through deposit growth, loan growth and referral activity.  Kathryn tracks progress and sucessfully coaches her team to achieve branch goals.

Kathryn is involved in the Jackson community, both through volunteer activities and representing CNB at community events. She volunteers her time with the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Jackson Exchange Club, and teaches financial literacy to area students through the Junior Achievement program.
