County National Bank to Expand and Invest in Downtown Jackson

MARCH 14, 2018 - Craig S. Connor, President and C.E.O., of County National Bank (CNB), announced plans to expand its presence in downtown Jackson. CNB has acquired the former bank building at 215 S. Jackson St. and is in the midst of renovating the interior of the building, and planning an opening this summer.

Since 2001, Jackson has been a wonderful market for County National Bank, the company said. Explained Connor, “In recent years, banking competition in Jackson has caused consolidation of offices and reduced access to financial resources for this market. This is unfortunate for the Jackson community; however, it has created opportunity for us to grow while serving the expanded needs of the Jackson market.”

Plans for the new S. Jackson Street office include deposit activity moving from the Cortland St. office. The Cortland office will house thegrowing CNB lending and support staff. This new location will provide full-service activity including a drive-thru service, lobby traffic, ATM, some lending and safe deposit services. The expansion will increase the number of offices in Jackson. Currently, offices are located on Cortland St., Horton Rd., and Wisner St.; with other branches throughout the county in Spring Arbor and Hanover. In early 2016, CNB also established a Loan Production Office on Spring Arbor Rd.

John Waldron, Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer said, “We are committed to growing and investing in downtown Jackson. This new location will provide added convenience to our customers. The City of Jackson has done an incredible job of improving our downtown. We look forward to being part of Jackson’s long-term improvement plan.”
