Experience Jackson Now Accepting Nominations for Omotenashi Service Award Through Oct 25th


Jackson, Mich. – Experience Jackson is accepting nominations for the Omotenashi Award that will be presented at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting the evening of Thursday, January 30th at Jackson College.

Omotenashi is a Japanese word that represents the act of providing detailed service by always putting guests or customers first, helping them create an easy, relaxing and memorable experience. 

This award recognizes the organizations that are excelling at taking care of customers, which in turn, equals return visitors to Jackson and creates a positive perception of the Jackson community.

In addition to the recognition and honor, the winning organization will also receive $1,000 in advertising by Experience Jackson during the 2020 year. The use of this funding will be mutually agreed upon by the winning entity and Experience Jackson.

To nominate an organization in Jackson County please submit their name and an example of their exceptional customer service through Experience Jackson’s website. Nominations close at noon on Friday, October 25th. All nominees will be sent a nomination form to complete and return to Experience Jackson. All nominees must meet the criteria established by Experience Jackson and return the nomination form by noon on Friday, November 22nd.

Experience Jackson’s mission is to strengthen the positive perception of Jackson County as a must-visit destination to increase revenues and stimulate economic development and growth for the community.
