This year NTW is taking place May 11–15, 2026, at the JATA Transfer Center from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.
National Transit Week is a time to highlight the importance of public transportation to our Jackson Community, recognize and give back to the riders who rely on transit every day, and encourage new community members to experience all that JATA has to offer. Throughout the week, we will host a series of engaging activities, including:
- Hot dogs and soda available for purchase
- Free popcorn
- Games and prize giveaways
- Rider incentives to encourage first-time users & give back to those that rely on transit daily
- A vendor showcase featuring local businesses and community partners
To help make this week a success, we are seeking community-minded sponsors to support food, prizes, supplies, and rider appreciation items. In return, sponsors will receive recognition through:
- Event signage and JATA social media promotion
- Mentions during giveaways and raffles
- On-site visibility and public acknowledgment
Four Easy Ways to Support National Transit Week
- Gift Donation
Donate branded items, gift cards, raffle prizes, or treats to be distributed during the event. Your business will be recognized with on-site signage and social media shout outs throughout the week.
- Small Monetary Donation ($100–$499)
Ideal for local businesses or individuals looking to contribute. Donors will be listed on event signage and included in digital “thank you” posts. Contributions help fund food, prizes, and activities.
- Large Monetary Sponsorship ($500+)
Help power the full National Transit Week experience. Large sponsors receive recognition on printed materials, signage, and social media, with the option for a vendor table or customized shout outs.
- Vendor Participation During National Transit Week
This is a great opportunity to engage directly with the Jackson community, promote your business, and support accessible transportation. There is no fee to participate, but space is limited. Please RSVP by April 17, 2026.
All donors will receive a donation acknowledgment letter for tax purposes and will be publicly thanked throughout the week.
