The new Financial Wellness Department was announced internally at American 1 in early December. The goal of the new department is to advance the credit union’s growth through strong community presence and partnerships and to oversee day-to-day operations in all financial wellness-focused areas, including school program development, partner company development, small business, and financial wellness programs.
The Financial Wellness team will be comprised of a Financial Wellness Manager, Collin Martin, and two Financial Wellness Specialists.
Martin has been with the credit union since February of 2022, starting in the Training Department as an Operations Trainer. With his recent promotion to Financial Wellness Manager, Collin brings a passion for financial wellness, building relationships, and community.
“American 1 is continually growing and adapting while looking for ways to meet our mission of creating financial wellness in the communities we serve,” said Martin. “I’m thrilled to lead this new team and to further showcase the American 1 team as financial wellness experts in our community.”
Martin studied Graphic Design with an emphasis in Business Marketing at Calvin College.
