Cascades Humane Society’s annual Pet Calendar Fundraiser is happening next weekend!

Jackson, MI: Cascades Humane Society’s annual Pet Calendar Fundraiser is happening next weekend!

Cascades Humane Society (CHS) is excited to announce the kickoff of its annual Pet Calendar Fundraiser, a beloved tradition that raises vital funds to support animals in need. This year, CHS aims to raise $30,000 through this initiative, which is crucial for sustaining its services and programs.

The Pet Calendar Fundraiser invites pet owners to showcase their furry companions' unique personalities by participating in a professional photoshoot conducted by Carrie Stadelman of Freeland Photography. Heather Leszczynski, Executive Director of Cascades Humane Society, expressed her excitement for the fundraiser, "I'm thrilled to see the community come together to support our cause. As a pet owner myself, I understand the joy of capturing those special moments with our furry friends, and I'm always amazed by the diverse range of pets that participate."

Pet owners can register their furry friends for a photoshoot scheduled for April 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2024, at Cascades Humane Society. Limited slots are available, and interested participants are encouraged to register promptly to secure their spot. Registrations can be completed online at www.CHSpets.org.

Here’s how it works:

1.     Schedule a photo session for a $10 donation per pet to Cascades Humane Society.

2.     Choose the best image to enter the calendar contest, highlighting your pet’s pizzaz.

3.     Fundraise for your pet to secure a spot in the 2025 CHS calendar. Votes are $1 each, with the top fundraisers earning a coveted place on a calendar month. The highest fundraiser will even grace the cover!

Additionally, digital images will be available for purchase from Freeland Photography. Funds raised through the calendar contest will contribute to CHS's efforts in providing care and support to over 1,200 animals each year. For those without pets, there's still an opportunity to contribute by sponsoring a photoshoot for an adoptable CHS animal for just $10.

The Pet Calendar Fundraiser has been a cherished tradition since its inception in 2013, with hundreds of pets competing each year to support CHS and homeless animals. Carrie Stadelman of Freeland Photography has played a pivotal role in the success of the fundraiser, generously lending her talent and expertise to capture the essence of pets and their owners.

"We're immensely grateful to Carrie Stadelman for her ongoing commitment to our cause," said Heather Leszczynski. "Her passion for photography and love for animals shines through in every photo she takes. Together with the community's support, we can make 2025 the best year yet for our Pet Calendar Fundraiser."
