From Zero to 40 in under one year! The former factory that produced such iconic products as the Jackson car and the Sparton radio is now the home to 40 new tenants! They are banding together to introduce the greater Jackson area to their products and services, as well as showcasing the improvements that have been made to the 130 year old building, during a two-day grand opening celebration.
The Grand Opening Celebration will take place on Friday, June 27th from 4pm to 10pm, and Saturday, June 28th from 11am to 7pm. Plans include live music, building tours, art studios and exhibits, food trucks, professional services, workshops & demonstrations, kids activities, and much more!
As part of the celebration, the building will be unofficially renamed to The Sparks building, commemorating co-founder William “Cap” Sparks who is well known in Jackson as an industrialist, mayor, “Zouaves” leader and creator of the Cascades illuminated falls. This change is hoped to better connect the community with the history of the building, while creating a sense of new energy inhabiting the old factory.
