Home Builders Association of Jackson Celebrates 70 Years of Service and Industry Leadership

The Home Builders Association of Jackson (HBAJ) is proud to celebrate its 70th anniversary with a special celebration on Wednesday, June 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the HBAJ office, located at 1815 E. High Street in Jackson.

Chartered in 1955 with just 29 members and seven board leaders, the HBAJ has grown over the last seven decades into a trusted voice for professionals in the residential construction and trades industry. In 1995, the organization built its current headquarters to better serve a growing membership and meet the evolving needs of the industry. Through every era, the HBAJ has remained committed to connecting its members to the relationships, opportunities, advocacy, and resources they need to succeed.

“This celebration honors 70 years of service, growth, and community pride,” said Patrick O’Dowd, Executive Officer of the HBAJ. “We’re proud of our legacy supporting builders, tradespeople, and suppliers—and excited about what’s ahead. This event is our way of saying thank you to the people who have built, supported, and advanced our industry.”

The celebration is open to members, partners, their families and friends, and anyone who works in or supports the residential construction and trades industry. Guests will enjoy FREE Schlenker’s burgersFREE Junk Yard Dog hot dogslive music from Six Strings and a Mike, and yard games like cornholePhoto albums from organizational events through the decades will also be available for guests to look through and enjoy.

The HBAJ continues to stand as a proud advocate for the residential construction and trades industry, promoting professionalism and protecting the American Dream of homeownership across Jackson, Hillsdale, and Lenawee counties. The association is a local affiliate of the Home Builders Association of Michigan and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), giving members access to support, representation, and resources at the state and national levels.
